Why I created this
Homeowners deserve an explanation before they are asked for an answer.
I created the organizer because homeowners are often expected to make expensive decisions before anyone has clearly explained the process, terminology, documents, or professional roles.
It is the groundwork I wish more people had before those conversations begin. It is not a substitute for project specific architectural work.

Who is this for, and what projects does it cover?
It is designed for homeowners preparing for an addition or major remodel, especially those who have never completed a significant residential project. The planning ideas may also help with early conversations about ADUs, conversions, and new homes, but the worked example is an addition.
Is it only for California homeowners?
No. The general planning and communication guidance is intended for homeowners across the United States. California specific material is identified, and local requirements must always be checked with the relevant jurisdiction and qualified professionals.
What exactly do I receive?
One 68 page searchable and printable PDF with internal navigation and bookmarks. It is not a ZIP file and does not require a special application. It is not fillable and contains no form fields.
How should I use it on different devices?
Use a laptop or tablet for full reading, comparison, and planning. A phone is useful for quick searching and reference. Print the workbook pages you prefer to complete by hand.
Is this architectural advice, or does buying it make Kally my architect?
No. It is general educational information and does not evaluate your property or provide project specific services. Purchasing it does not create an architect client relationship. Architectural services require a separate written agreement.
Will it tell me whether my project will be approved or replace a professional?
No. Approval depends on your property, proposal, current requirements, submitted documents, and reviewing agencies. The organizer helps you identify what needs confirmation. It cannot replace an architect, engineer, contractor, consultant, or building official.
Are updates included?
The update policy has not been finalized. No lifetime, automatic, or recurring update promise is included in this draft.
What happens if I have trouble downloading the file?
